About Us

We’re J.T. and Amber Burns, a husband-and-wife photography team based in New Castle, Indiana, and proud parents of three children. Burns Photography was founded in 2018 by Amber, who works full-time in healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner and discovered a passion for photography after learning the technical and creative elements of camera work and lighting. What began as a hobby quickly grew into a successful photography business built on connection, creativity, and storytelling.

Amber specializes in family photography, newborn photography, and senior portraits, with a focus on capturing genuine emotion, natural connections, and each client’s unique personality. Her goal is to create timeless images that families can cherish for years to come.

As the business expanded, J.T. developed a strong interest in photography and videography, particularly in drone work. He earned his FAA Part 107 Certification, allowing us to offer professional drone photography and videography services. J.T. focuses on real estate photography, videography, drone imagery, and commercial projects, delivering high-quality visual content that helps properties and businesses stand out. J.T. also works full-time in law enforcement.

We love that photography allows us to meet new people while reconnecting with familiar faces. We believe everyone has a story worth capturing, and our goal is to preserve not only the image of a moment, but the emotion behind it. Through our photography, we help clients freeze life’s most meaningful moments so they can be relived for years to come.
